Purchase a print and make an imprint.

For every print purchase from our wildlife and travel collections sized at 8x10 or larger, we will donate an AFRIpads kit including 4 reusable sanitary pads, carrying case and an educational booklet to a school-age girl living in a rural underdeveloped community in Africa.

Unable to afford or access proper menstrual products, many girls and women rely on crude, improvised materials like scraps of old clothing, pieces of foam mattress, toilet paper, leaves, and banana fibers to manage their menstruation - all of which are unhygienic, ineffective, and uncomfortable. This is hardly what we consider a "solution".

Faced with frequent, embarrassing leaks and a susceptibility to recurrent infections, the impact is that millions of girls and women experience their monthly period  as something that prevents them from engaging in daily life – whether this is going to school or work, or carrying out their normal domestic responsibilities.

The critical unavailability of sanitary products in developing countries is a major barrier to education for girls of school-going age. The inability to effectively manage menstruation contributes to absences of up to 4-5 school days each month, equating to as much as 20% of the academic year intentionally skipped, simply due to menstruation.

Eventually many of these girls drop out of school entirely, increasing their likelihood of teen pregnancy health complications and early marriage, and further limiting their future career and economic opportunities.

Our current donation tally is at over $2000. This will supply kits to 400 girls!

But there are so many more that need our assistance.

Here's How You Can Help Right Now:

1. Purchase a wildlife print.

When you purchase a print of 8x10 or larger from any of our print galleries, we will donate one AFRIpad kit to a girl in an underdeveloped village in Kenya, Africa.

2. Make a donation of any amount that you wish.

It only takes $5.00 to supply a girl with a kit of 4 reusable pads, carrying case and an educational booklet. Your donation will go towards our bulk purchase scheduled to be made mid-September and delivered.

Please note that this donation is not tax deductible as we are not a non-profit. To keep costs down, we are collecting the funds personally and making the purchase directly from AFRIpads. This ensures that every penny that you donate will go towards the purchase of these kits. If you donate via the Paypal link below, we will be charged a small processing fee that will need to be deducted from the amount available to make the purchase. To avoid this, you can use Zelle to send money to me directly at 602-386-9997.

Thank you for your generosity! You will be making a lasting imprint in the lives of girls in need.
